Eugène-André OUDINÉ
Born in 1810, died in 1887.
Was a pupil of Galle and Ingres.
He won the Roman prize for medal engraving in 1831.
M. Roger-Marx wrote about him: "In terms of influence, nothing compares to the action he led during forty years. He took up, further developed and summarized each and every one of his predecessors' attempts.
He has taken on the task of ensuring the future and forming pupils in his school were trained Ponscarme, Chaplain, and Tasset.
